  1. My initial thought was to trade the dual lands for the P9. As much as I like dual lands (very liquid and widely used), the original printing will likely have a higher ceiling. Also, due to the liquidity of dual lands it would likely be easier to recoup them.

Also, I am pretty new to the channel, but am liking each video more and more.

  2. I traded my UNL Moxes (Jet, Ruby and Pearl) for REV dual lands about 8 months ago. The value of both have jumped, but I got 4 Underground Seas, 4 Volcanic Islands, 3 Tropical Islands and 2 Tundra, I think I did ok…finished my 40/40 dual lands which have been more playable than the moxes. I replaced the power with CE just as they started to spike. Thank you EC old school for allowing 'budget' power!

  3. The reason people are buying the newer spec cards is because the barrier to entry to high end reserve list cards is out of fiscal grasp for a lot of the community that wants to get into investing/collecting. Many of us (including me) missed the boat, but still want to play in the water of mtg finance

  4. Obviously I'd do the trade flip the revised duals and buy the same alpha power again and make 3-4k profit, I guess you'd do the same Daniel. But I realise it's not exactly what you wanted to know. If you had to do the trade and have to keep the cards for a couple years after the trade, i'd go with the alpha p9.

Alpha is the holy grail of MTG. even if mtg dies alpha will keep its value (it might tank a little ofc but it will come back imo)
Revised though, most cards will be worth 0,0$ 10 years after magic goes out of business.

  5. Should have bought a couple of black lotus 10 years ago for 1.000 bucks a piece in Japan.

  6. I'd take the dual lands. The most expensive part of a lot of decks is the mana base. Lands are so important that the difference between having proper color fixing and not has a major difference in how well your deck plays. Dual lands can also be used in more formats than the P9 (Vintage/Legacy/93-94/Commander). With more playability, I think the dual lands would be the better of the two.

  7. dual lands because there will always be a way to sell them and come closer to an expected profit
